2008 was a tough year on me, definitely a year filled with extremely hard work. I actually just came home from work (I spent my new years eve at work. I know, sad :[ ). What a fitting way to end 2008.

Hopefully 2009 will be a easier on lil ol me.

Happy new year everybody! :) Have a good one.

happy holidays

Happy holidays everyone :) Eat, drink, shop and be merry.

Sorry for the lack of posting, but I've seemed to have lost my tripod camera connector thing. Let me just say that it is a bitch trying to take good pictures without a tripod. Hopefully I can scoop one up during post-christmas sales tomorrow.

where the magic happens.

Changing it up a bit.

Pictures of my room, and a sneak preview of my closet.

I'm going to miss it when I go to college next year :(

dear santa

Seems like this blog is getting a bit redundant. Do you guys have any suggestions/input on what you'd like to see on this blog? Way open to suggestions :)

a study in black lace

Dress: 213, Tights: UO, Shoes: TJ maxx, Necklace: Soho street vendor, Half Slip: vintage

Still haven't decided if I liked this outfit yet, as it reminds me too much of Morticia Addams.

Also, my tights now have two gaping holes in them :( They got caught in one of the bolts in my chair in class. How sad. I'm going to try to salvage it somehow by trying to sew the holes shut.

i need new boots

Finally, the week is over. Unfortunately, the intense studying has rendered me sick :(

Because of this, I've been stuck at home online shopping all day. I really need some new boots that I can wear to death. I'm craving something simple, black and above-ankle-length (does that even make sense?).

The ones on above would be perfect, they're currently selling for $89 on zappos. However, they've seemed to have run out of size 7s :( :( :( Woe is me.

Perhaps this is a sign from the shopping gods?

P.S. I just bought an (hopefully) amazing topshop leather jacket that will be arriving any day now. I can grantee that my my life will be a little more complete after I get it.

Outfit post soon!

The suburban favorite + 6 unimportant things

Skirt, Hat: F21, Blouse: Club Monaco, Tights: UO, Belt: Uniqlo, Flats: Vintage Ferragamo, Bag: Vintage Chanel

I woke up 20 minutes late today. This outfit was composed in under 3 minutes. Bleary-eyed, I literally reached for whatever happened to be in my current line of sight. When I finally the chance to look at myself in the school bathroom, my first reaction was: "My god, I look like Blair Waldorf". Good thing I opted on wearing the ubiquitous f21 beanie instead of a waldorf-ish headband, less I look like a full blown gossip girl.

Not that looking like a gossip girl is a bad thing. I admit that one of the only reasons I was so fully captivated with the first season was because of the outrageously lavish clothing that the girls (and guys) got to wear. Sadly, I lost interest in the 2nd season 3 episodes in (though I heard it got really good lately).

I also got a ton of compliments on what I wore today, as opposed to the usual "uh, what are you wearing?/why are you wearing heels?/what in the hell happened to your shirt?!". Again, probably due to the gossip girl resemblance.

Anyway, I pulled these ferragamo flats out of the depths of my closet today. The soles are really worn and slippery. Whilst rushing up the stairs half asleep this morning in attempts to make it to my class on time, I managed to trip on the stairs.

Right in front of my ex.

I've been tagged by The Stylish Wanderer to divulge to you 6 unimportant things that make me happy. This should be interesting.

1. I'm obsessed with (microwavable) white castle cheeseburgers. I've never tasted an actual white castle burger though. And I live in New Jersey.

2. I think like this song way too much to be a self-respecting non pre-teen. I also think it's really funny how they had to change the lyrics from "kiss me" to "hold me" to make it more PG. Oh Disney.

3. I like honking/freaking out/road raging at people when they do something dangerous/potentially life threatening on the road (ie. If they dangerously cut me off). It gives me some kind of sick satisfaction/valediction, like "HA, you suck as a driver because you just tried to kill the both of us". I probably won't be laughing when I get into an accident though.

4. I like any and every form of asian noodle. You name it, I like it (pho, udon, jajamyun, pad thai, chow fun, lomain, etc)

5. Shopping online and then getting packages in the mail.

6. Cold Pillows. I hate warm/hot pillows.

Sorry for the horrible picture quality. I really need to get some better lighting my room.

Coat: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Belt, dress: Forever 21, Tights: UO, Bag: Chanel, Sweater: AA

I'm pretty sure I'm in a fashion rut. It seems like I hate all the clothes in my closet right now. :(

This is probably due to that I've been spending all my time freaking out about college (yes, I'm one of those types). Most of my time online has been spent on college confidential (a college forum where the equally collegiate neurotic go). If you guys haven't noticed yet, I'm really loserish and not cool. At all.

As if that wasn't bad enough, most of my time offline has been wasted reading Twilight (I got suckered into it). I told myself that I wouldn't get into the whole twilight fad because I just thought the whole concept was pretty ridiculous. But alas, the 17-year old fan girl inside of me could not resist.

Santa, can I have a vampire boyfriend for christmas. Pretty please?
