Spent the day at the bff's (our last day together before moving into college, ahh!). Good thing we're going to school relatively close to each other (her: NJ, me: NYC). Bad things would happen otherwise.
Props to her for taking these pics for me (I'm WAY too shy to ask anyone else to take my pics for me, haha, so it's usually her or self-timer), and for helping me put my lipstick on "correctly" (i'm a complete noob when it comes to makeup). Realized that the lipstick was actually a LOT darker when applied in a proper fashion. Kind of like it.
I've long since given up on saving up for the balenciaga bag. At the moment, I just can't justify spending 1k+ on a bag. The Roan bag, by knox is significantly more in my price range, but still expensive for a broke student ($600).
On the other hand, I'm in dire need of a sturdy, functional everyday bag. And this bag is just so damn sexy. Hm.
To sum it all up, seattle was cool, alaska was beautiful. Both were super COLD (around 50-60 degrees F), which was weird for me cause I'm used to scorching hot augusts.
So even though I brought my slr to vacation with me, I was WAY too lazy to lug it around with me so I just resorted to using my crappy little point-and-shoot camera.
If you're in seattle, definitely check out the underground vintage mall in pioneer square. Though it might be a bit pricier, it's worth checking out as it literally is room after underground room of antiques and random old paraphernalia.
And, Alaska was just...alaska? It was pretty unpopulated, as I expected. Most towns are completely landlocked, and have fewer than 2,000 people living there. As much of a no man's land that it was, I guess it largely contributed to the charm of the state. Seriously, I'll let these pictures speak for themselves.
Heres a crappy little video I compiled. It MAY give you a seizure. I have shaky hands.
Went shopping with my best friend today. Found an sick military jacket from H&M for only $40. It's kind of my new favorite article of clothing at the moment. Fall needs to come now.
Wow my hair is at an awkward length right now. Can't wait till it grows out.
Went to six flags yesterday with my crazy, rollercoaster-obsessed friends. Every inch of my body is yelling at me right now due to the extreme thrashing it took on those machines of death. Note: El toro is not for the faint of heart. Never again.
Blouse: thrifted, Sunglasses: Raybans
I repurchased raybans, this time in a model that fit my face better. Wayfarers truly are a staple.
Planning on spending the day in this easy blouse + wayfarers while barbequeing poolside with family and friends. I love summer.
